DIY Button Necklace

This project is a great and cheap way to be in the latest fashion and spice up a boring outfit. 

Needed:

• Vintage or vintage looking buttons (I found mine at Hancocks Fabric) 
• "O" Rings
• Chain 
• Tail Chain
• Clasps
• Felt

Tools:

• Hot Glue Gun
• Scissor
• Jewelry Pliers
• Wire Cutters (not necessary but recommended)

First I would recommend to use wire cutters and cut off the button hole on the back. Though this is not necessary if you do  not have means, it is very helpful.  

Lay out a your buttons is a "V" shape so you have a plan.

Use your glue gun to glue down all the buttons onto your felt piece.

Before gluing on the buttons on the very right and left glue a large o ring to the back. Leave it sticking out with enough room to attach chain. 

  

  Use scissors to cut around all of the buttons. Put dabs of hot glue between the faces of the buttons in order to make the necklace stiffer.  

Cut two pieces of the regular chain in 4-5 in pieces and one piece of tail chain about 2 in long.  

Attach one end of each the pieces of regular pieces of chain to the glue on "O" ring, with a small "O" ring. 

On one of the side of the regular chain not attached to the neacklace, attach your piece of tail chain with an "O" ring (as shown above). On the opposite side of the second piece of chain attach a clasp with a "O" ring. 

Now you have a personalized and stylish statement necklace.

DIY Key Decor

Needed: 

• Super Glue
• Rinestones of Your Choice
• Glitter Nail Polish

First: Lay out your rhinestones where you plan to put them.

Second: Lift the rhinestones one by one. Glue them down with super glue. Use twisters to help place them.  

Third: Fill in the space between the rhinestones with glitter nail polish. Let dry well before use. 

Now You Will Be Driving In Style!

Valentine's Candy

In all of the pictures bellow I used a "Cuddle Bug" scrap booking cutter for the circles but I included a free printable template for those without scrap booking equipment to use.   

If you are doing this modified version of the project you simply print the PDF above with the "Print" option on the top left side. Cut the circles out, tape or glue to the candy boxes. 

Bellow are the instructions for those who have a "cuddle bug" other scrap booking cutter. 

 Needed:

• Double Stick Tape
• Two size of circles cut from white card stock
• One red decorative circle or red doily (purchased at any craft store)

Write the saying you would like to put on the candy on the smallest circle.

• Reese's Pieces: "I love you to pieces"
• Mint Gum: "We are mint to be"
• Skittles: "You color my world"
• Sweet Tarts: "You are my sweetheart" 
• Gobstoppers: "You are a heart stopper"  

Stack up the largest white circle, the red doily, and then the smallest circle. Taping each together with double stick tape. 

Now you have fancy candy to give you Valentine. 

        
                   

DIY Valentine's Day Gift Box

Sorry for the late posting I was afraid that my boy friend might see the post and find out about his gift.

This DIY is a easy and great way to put all those little valentines gifts together in on box.

All you are going to need is:

• a cardboard box
• paint
• a paint brush

First Step: Paint the box white or simply use a white box.

Second Step: The use painters tape to make strips on your box. I recommend spacing them an 1 in to 1.5 in apart. Put a strip all the way around the top of the box about an 1 to 2 ins from the top. 

Third Step: Paint in between the stripes red, then pull off the tape.

Forth Step: This part is optional! Paint one of the inside walls read. 

 Fifth Step: Print, then cut out the I HEART U from the PDF above. Trace onto box, then paint inside of words with black paint.

Sixth Step: Cut the heart out (also from the PDF above)trace above every white strip. Then fill in with black paint.

All Done!

Creative Ways to Ask a Boy to Sadie Hawkins

When it comes time for a girl to ask a boy to Sadie Hawkins it can be hard to find a creative way to ask them. After all boys aren't excited by flowers or balloons as a girl wold be, and throwing him a ball or giving him a cookie cake with Sadie's written on it just isn't very creative. 

One simple but still original way to ask is with chalk. 

Needed:

• Sidewalk chalk (1-5 dollars at Walmart or Dollar Store)
• Drive-way or parking spot to write it in

Everyone played with chalk as a child and this is the same general idea. Just write it out in the boy you would like to ask's parking spot or drive way. Just make sure to put your name underneath so they know who is asking. 

Another cute and more personal way to ask the boy you admire or are dating to Sadie's is with a candy note. Plus all guys like candy so its a good bribe. ;)

Needed:

• Poster Board 
• Hot Glue/Glue Gun
• Candy Bars 
• Markers
• Nice Handwriting or Stencils

The note above is for a boy I was already dating, and it is more personal but can be adjusted for any situation. 

All you have to do is plan out your note and hot glue the candy bar in place of certain words. 

If your hand writing is not very neat you can buy stencils and use them instead. 

I also suggest that on certain candies such as Snickers or Life Savors you mark out or cover up the S's

DIY Monogram Christmas Ornament

My inspiration for this ornament was a picture I found on Pinterest of a monogrammed ornament but it was kinda plain and I though I could do better so this is my rendition. I used these as my teachers gifts and for my boy friends family they would also be good for friends or moms the craft a great inexpensive gift for Christmas. 

Whats need for the project:

• Thick Ribbon (I suggest 1in width or bigger ribbon because it will make big pretty bows)
• Thin Ribbon (1/2in or smaller usually around $1.00 for a spool)
• Clear Christmas Ornaments 
• Craft Glitter
• Scrap Booking Letters(I like cursive ones for a fancier monogram but you can use a font of your choice)

All these items can be purchased at a craft store such as Hobby Lobby or Jo-Ann's or even Walmart. Don't forget about Hobby Lobby's 40% off coupon for the more expensive items like the ornaments. 

 Step 1:

• Remove the top of the ornament and use a funnel to pour your craft glitter into the top of the ornament. 
• Before putting the top back on fill the small hole in the top of the ornament with hot glue so that the glitter doesn't fall out when your ornament gets turned upside down. 
• Then stick your monogram stickers onto the outside of your ornament, I used uppercase letters for the center of the monogram and lower case fort the two side letters but you could also get to different size sticker sets. 

Step 2:

• Hand stitch or hot glue or tie the ends of the smaller ribbon together around the loop on top of the ornament. (I hand stitched)  

Step 3:

• Make bows out of the larger ribbon to the size you would like.

• Then use hot glue to put your bow on the front of the ornament.

Final Product:
